Caterpillar Foundation Supports Altamaha Technical College

Altamaha Technical College recently received a $5000 donation from the Caterpillar Foundation.  Over three years ago Altamaha Technical College and Yancey Brothers Company began a partnership to offer the Heavy Diesel Service Technology Certificate of Credit Program. Each year since the partnership formed, Yancey Brothers Company has supported the college with a generous donation and each year Caterpillar Foundation has matched Yancey Brothers donation.

“Although we are experiencing the Caterpillar Foundation is dedicated to supporting the colleges that train our service technicians,” stated Yancey Bros. Recruiter, Jeff Cornwell.  Altamaha Technical College is one of three colleges in Georgia that have a partnership with Yancey Brothers and Caterpillar.

The $5000 donation will be used to purchase equipment and provide scholarships for the Heavy Diesel Service Technology, Technical Certificate of Credit Program.  “We greatly appreciate the continued support shown by the Caterpillar Foundation.  Their investment in the college has helped to ensure the continued success of our students and the future or our college,” stated Altamaha Technical College President, Lorette M. Hoover.
