Altamaha Technical College Offers Program for Local Businesses

Altamaha Technical College’s Economic Development department is offering a comprehensive training program for local businesses and industries called Certified Customer Service Specialist.  Designed by service-training professionals, this program will help provide an available, skilled work force for our area’s service, hospitality, retail, and other industries in which customer contact is a vital operation.   

The Certified Customer Service Specialist program is divided into five areas. 

Service Industry Business Environment

Provides students with insight into basic principles of business and quality service. 

Computer Skills

Provides students with basic personal computer skills in word processing, spread sheet, database and e-mail software. 

Business Skills

Provides students with additional business skills to assist customers and improve service operations. 

Personal Effectiveness

Provides students with the skills to increse their personal effectiveness in the synamic and change-oriented service industry. 

Customer Contact Skills

Provides students with skills to create positive customer relations; to communicate effectively with customers; and to successfully assist customers and solve their problems.  Students will also learn to select and sell products that benefit customers.
