29 Students Inducted into Honor Society at ATC
Jesup, GA - Twenty-nine students were inducted into the Altamaha Technical College's chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). NTHS is an honor society for high school and college students who choose technical careers. NTHS requires at least a 3.5 scholastic average and students must exhibit high moral qualities such as honesty, responsibility, citizenship, leadership and service skills and knowledge of their chosen career. NTHS advisor Lynne Groover said, “"These are some of our most outstanding students. They have attained excellence in their studies and demonstrated character.” Inductees were congratulated and presented their NTHS certificate by ATC President Lorette Hoover and given NTHS materials by either Tracy Brummett, Director of Student Activities or their program advisor.
Students interested in joining Altamaha Technical College's National Technical Honor Society must have at least 24 credit hours, a 3.5 GPA and be nominated by their advisor.
