ATC Organizations Attend the 2006 Georgia Fall Leadership Conference

Fourteen Altamaha Technical College students and advisors attended the 17th annual Georgia Fall Leadership Conference that was held at the Renaissance Waverly in Atlanta, GA on November 17-19, 2006. During this conference, the students attended leadership workshops in their officer or membership areas. They also were able to choose additional workshops such as Money Management, Dress for Success, Prioritizing Life and Relationships, Career Exploration, Culture Diversity, and, the most sought after workshops, Live Like a Leader with Jonathan Sprinkles and Business Etiquette with Marty Beliveau.

Students were also able to participate in a March of Quarters Mini Walk where each person was to donate $10 for a March of Dimes shirt. With ATC’s contribution, the total raised was over $4000.

The advisors attended leadership workshops as well. Mandy Wright, PBL advisor said, “It was a very enlightening and interesting weekend. Everyone came back pumped up and ready to spread talk about leadership and how our organizations can help each to be better leaders.”
