Altamaha Technical College’s Jesup campus graduated 10 students in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program for Summer Quarter. After six months of hard work the students received their certificates on Monday, September 25th at the ATC auditorium.
Tim Woodward, ATC’s Evening Coordinator, introduced and congratulated the class, and CNA instructor, Cindy Jarrard RN, awarded the certificates. “The students worked very hard, were very dedicated in what they were doing, showed great teamwork and support for one another, and reflected great compassion in their caring for others,” comments Jarrard. “I feel that this is just the beginning for them. I am very proud of them.”
Several of the students participated in the ceremony. Angela Thomas gave the opening prayer while Michelle Crews and Kim Epps both addressed their fellow classmates with a few encouraging words for the road ahead and congratulating them on their tremendous achievement. Crystal Steedley recited “A CNA’s Wish” and Donna Maynard gave a presentation.
A few of the students graduated with perfect attendance (PA) and/or as an honor graduate (HG), maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher. Altamaha Technical College’s 2006 CNA graduates include Meshell Barton (PA) (HG), Michelle Crews, Kimberly Epps, Donna Maynard, Kim Ryals (HG), Crystal Steedley (HG), Angela Thomas, Ida Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Ame’ Walker (HG).
