BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Altamaha Technical College’s Golden Isles Campus Cosmetology Class of 2011 was honored at a completion ceremony held recently at the Golden Isles Career Academy.

Ten students were recognized for completing their cosmetology diploma by Altamaha Technical College Cosmetology Instructors Sheryl Hazzard and Katherine Ellis. These students include Marissa Butler, Victoria Carter, Telly Clayton, Brooke Ellington, Ashley Hamilton, Elizabeth Merriman, Veronica Myrick, Brandi Outhwaite, Nikki Pickren and Cortney Taylor.

Several students were also recognized for their special contribution to the class. Students receiving special awards were Brandi Outwaite, Customer Service Award and Outstanding Academic Achievement; Cortney Taylor, Best Original Design Award and Best Hairstyle Design Award; Nikki Pickren, Best Nail Design Award; Ashley Hamilton, Best Makeup Artist Award; Veronica Myrick, Student Appreciation and Recognition (STAR) Award.
