Altamaha Technical College employees give 100% to annual Campus Campaign

(February 13, 2012) – The Altamaha Technical College Foundation announced for the fourth year in a row 100 percent of the faculty and staff contributed to the annual Campus Campaign. The campaign also exceeded its $20,000 goal with funds still coming in, said Melinda Laager, Executive Vice President of the Foundation. Ms. Laager went on to say that this demonstrates how committed the faculty and staff are to Altamaha Technical College and its students.  Twenty-four employees dug deeper into their paychecks to become members of the One Percent Club, pledging one percent of their annual salary.

President Lorette Hoover commends the faculty and staff’s generosity and support of the Foundation campaign.  She stated “I don't know of another college that has such committed faculty and staff. They are investing in the future success of the college, our students, and the communities we serve."

The Altamaha Technical College Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps strengthen and expand the College by securing resources to support projects such as scholarships, program equipment, faculty development and marketing needs.

Altamaha Technical College offers more than 80 degree, diploma and certificate programs at its locations in Baxley, Brunswick, Hazlehurst, Jesup and Kingsland. To learn more about registering for these programs, visit the college online at www.altamahatech.edu. Spring Semester begins Jan. 9, 2012.
