Altamaha Technical College welcomes Kelley Arnold to Advancement staff

JESUP, Ga. (Oct. 17, 2011)—Kelley M. Arnold, former Wayne County resident and editor of one of The Press-Sentinel’s sister newspapers, The Telfair Enterprise, joined the staff of Altamaha Technical College as its new Institutional Advancement Coordinator Sept. 19.

She will assist the technical college’s Advancement office with public and media relations, marketing, social media and fundraising, under the direction of Melinda Laager, executive vice president of the Altamaha Technical College Foundation.  Ms. Laager stated, “We are very pleased to have Kelley join our staff with her vast experience in marketing and higher education.”

Arnold, 32, previously served as the Director of News and Public Information at Brewton-Parker College (Mount Vernon, Ga.) for five years. While employed at BPC, she served as the marketing committee chair of the Toombs-Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, pioneered the college’s Facebook presence and volunteered as chaplain/assistant coach of the Lady Barons Competitive Cheerleading squad.

From 2003 to 2006, she led The Enterprise in McRae as news editor and then editor. During this time, she won two Georgia Press Association awards for serious column writing and feature photography and was named Most Outstanding Young Georgian by the Georgia Junior Chamber of Commerce in 2004.

She is the daughter of Mark and Alta Arnold of Odum.
