Senator Tommie Williams recently obtained an appropriation of $450,000 for Altamaha Technical College to upgrade the Baxley main campus and renovate the ATC Heavy Equipment Training Center.  The upgrade at the main campus will include the addition of a library, expansion of the student center, and improvements for the Practical Nursing lab.  The renovation of the Heavy Equipment Training Center, located at the Armory in Baxley, will include adding a classroom and lab for Heavy Equipment Operator Training, as well as improvements in the restrooms, student center, lighting, and HVAC systems.  Furthermore, a portion of the funds will be allocated for additional training equipment.
