28 Students Receive PCA Certificates
Altamaha Technical College graduated 28 students in the Patient Care Assisting (PCA) program, formerly known as the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. After six months of long hours and hard work the students received their certificates on Thursday, March 22nd at the ATC auditorium.
Tim Woodward, ATC’s Evening Coordinator, introduced and congratulated the class and PCA instructor, Cindy Jarrard, RN, awarded the certificates. During the ceremony Jarrard told the students, “Each one of you has touched me in a special way with your big hearts and unique personalities. I am going to miss all of you very much.” Jarrard was also proud to announce to the students and their families that all of the students graduated with a B average or above and passed the state certification exam. As a result, they are eligible to begin work as certified patient care assistants.
