ATC Celebrates Black History Month
Altamaha Technical College held two events in honor of Black History Month. First, ATC held their 4th annual Recipes from the Soul Cooking Contest which was open to all students and employees. There were five categories and the contestants could enter in as many as they liked. The 2007 Soul Food Cook-off Category Winners are:

| The judging was based on taste, presentation, and ethnic authencity. The judges included ATC Employee Sheila Carter, ATC student Janice Wells, and local law enforcement agent Perry Morgan. |

| ATC also hosted a Steppin' Show, where TAAO (Teens Against All Odds) Steppers from Hinesville and a praise and worship team from Gilead Gospel Church in Jesup performed. "I am amazed at the time and effort that these girls put into their presentations. Everyone enjoyed them so much and they can hardly wait for next year's event," said Cindy Brown, ATC's Director of Enrollment Services. |
