Altamaha Technical College and Yancey Bros. Co. Hosts Second Annual
BIG TOYS RODEO
Altamaha Technical College and Yancey Bros. Co. hosted the Second Annual Big Toys Rodeo on April 14 at the Heavy Equipment Training Center on US #1. Junior and senior FFA students from eight surrounding counties attended the event. Each team competed in six events which included the Dozier Pole Role, Skid Steer Bowling, Component Identification, Backhoe Bull’s Eye, Starting Systems Trouble Shooting and a Written Test.
The afternoon competition concluded with dinner and an awards ceremony. There were individual awards given for each event and cash awards given for the overall TOP CAT Winner, Team Winner and FFA Chapter Winner.Yancey Bros. Co. also presented the Altamaha Technical College with a $5000 check for the Heavy Equipment Diesel Technology Program.
