Graduation
graduation

Graduation is held twice a year in January and July. We strive to make this a wonderful time in your life. Graduation is open to GED, Technical Certificate of Credit, Diploma and Degree students who have completed their programs of study. Here are a few things we need for you to do so that graduation will flow smoothly:

  1. You need to apply for graduation when you register for classes the last semester of your graduating major.
  2. It is important that you apply for graduation even if you do not plan to participate in the graduation ceremony.
  3. Your advisor has the graduation application that you need to complete.
  4. When you submit your graduation application, if you wish to walk in the ceremony you need to pay your Graduation Fee. This is a $35, non-refundable fee allowing you the option of walking in the graduation ceremony once your application is confirmed. The fee includes your cap, gown, tassel, ceremony and reception costs.
  5. If your address changes, please be sure and fill out a change of address form in the Admissions Office. An information packet will be mailed to you about the graduation ceremony.
  6. If we do not have the correct address, you may not receive your information packet and miss out on graduation.
  7. Printed awards / certificates, diplomas and degrees will be available for pick up the next business day after graduation. Awards are not issued until then. Please verify your address at admissions and request you wish to have them mailed to you. Transcripts are available two weeks after the term's end for employment verification purposes.

***The next graduation will be June 16th  at 10am, location in Jesup - at the Wayne County High School Auditorium in Jesup - directions. Practice will be the 6th at 5:00pm at the same location and is mandatory for students walking in graduation; caps and gowns will be picked up at practice, please be there on time! The graduation fee is due by June 1st if you plan to walk in graduation, the fee is charged to all students participating in the ceremony and can be paid at any campus cashier. If you have any questions please call (912)588-2580. Chris Missel / Registrar.
